Your local Perth electrical, aircon and EV charger team
Licensed electricians for everything from a new power point to a full switchboard upgrade, plus split system and ducted air conditioning and EV charger installs. One team, one call, fixed quotes.
What we do
Electrical
Faults, upgrades and new work for Perth homes, done by licensed electricians who turn up when they say they will.
Air conditioning
Reverse cycle split systems and ducted air conditioning, supplied, installed and wired by the same team.
AIR CONDITIONING
EV chargers
Home and commercial EV chargers from Tesla, Ocular and Zappi, or a charger you've already bought, installed with load management and app setup.
EV CHARGERSA residential electrician you can actually get hold of
Most people calling an electrician want someone who answers, turns up when they said they would and gives a price first. It's a short list, and it's surprising how often it doesn't happen.
Dent Electrical & Air is a family-owned Perth business, started by Stephen Dent in 2019 after a decade in the trade. We're based in Kallaroo and look after homes across the Perth metro area, from quick jobs like a new power point or a ceiling fan through to switchboard upgrades, whole-home lighting and ducted air conditioning.
What makes us different is that we do both the electrical and the air conditioning. Most aircon installs need a dedicated circuit, and plenty of older switchboards can't handle the extra load. When one company does the unit and another does the power, you end up waiting on two trades and hearing each blame the other. With us, it's one team, one visit and one invoice.

Meet Stephen
"I started Dent Electrical & Air because too many jobs I saw were half-done: cheap quotes, rushed installs and nobody answering the phone when something went wrong afterwards. We do the job right, we tell you the price up front, and we pick up when you call."

Common questions
Most Perth electricians charge an hourly rate plus a call out fee, and the rate goes up after hours. We work differently: small jobs like a new power point or light fitting are quoted as a fixed price, so you know the total before we start. Bigger jobs get a fixed quote after we've seen them.
Anything connected to your home's fixed wiring: power points, lights, ceiling fans, smoke alarms, safety switches, switchboards, oven and cooktop connections, and the circuits for air conditioning and EV chargers. In WA, all of that has to be done by a licensed electrician.
